Why: To support the life-saving work of Best Friends Animal Society's Los Angeles Programs including: A Puppy-Store-Free LA, Pet Adoption Festivals, Date with a Dog, Indie Rescue, Catnippers, Best Friends Brigade, Pup My Ride Transport Program and other model programs that improve and save the lives of animals.

Best Friends Animal Society works with shelters and rescue groups nationwide to bring about a time when there will be no more homeless pets. Best Friends operates the nation's largest sanctuary for abandoned and abused animals, provides adoption, spay/neuter, educational programs and publishes "Best Friends", the most widely circulated general-interest animal magazine in the U.S. Thanks to a broad base of support within the entertainment industry, Best Friends events consistently draws national media coverage, which helps to raise the awareness of animal-related issues.
